The Heroine's Journey Oracle deck was created by Izzy Nance, licensed psychotherapist, tattoo shop owner and friendly neighborhood hedgewitch.
Drawing on experiences with her clients, classical Tarot, natural magic and ritual, she has designed the oracle cards for use as a therapeutic tool as well as a divinatory one.
Izzy has traversed her own healing path through the dark places, and helps others travel along theirs. The Heroine's Journey Oracle is made to help you travel yours, and to serve as a trusty companion in the exploration of your psyche.
The Heroine's Journey Oracle cards are a unique creation,
illuminating the heroine's quest; facing and integrating shadow, crossing the terrains of the psyche on the quest for healing.
Birthed from their own original fable, the cards emerged as the novella, Kamaal's Journey was written.
The varied archetypal themes woven through Kamaal's Journey speak to us at different times in our lives. The Heroine's Oracle cards contain these different facets of our experience, showing us who we are, what we want, and what we're ready to see.
The deck includes a divination booklet and 45 cards, designed by Izzy, with original illustrations by Tayah Blanck, Nahkoura Mahnassi, and David Tenorio. The accompanying guidebook, measuring 8.5x5.5 with a buttery smooth matte cover, is a nice weighty companion, nestled with the cards in a sturdy magnetic clasp box. The 150+ page book includes card meanings, inverted meanings, as well as a five questions section for each card to more deeply understand and explore your readings, oracle deck tips and even a few spreads.
*Upcoming Heroine's Journey novel release Winter of 2024.
*A supplemental therapeutic workbook is in the works, hoping for release in the Summer of 2025 complete with reflections, further work and wonderings derived from her experience as a psychotherapist, spiritual seeker and witch.
